Each year in the fall our church
supports a trip to Red Bird Mission in Beverly, Kentucky. Red Bird Mission is a mainstay in the lives of people of
this beautiful but impoverished region of southeast Kentucky. The ministries of the mission include a K-12 school,
a dental and medical clinic, a community store, craft marketing, and emergency food, clothing and transportation
assistance. They also have a Work Camp, which is what we participate in.
Our 2011 trip took place from October 23 to October 29. This was our seventh year going on this most rewarding mission trip.
