Each fall many youth from the United Methodist Church of Lake Orion and Christ
The Redeemer Catholic Church participate in the Project Shalom mission weekend.
During this event the youth, led by adult volunteers from the two churches, perform
community service projects ranging from simple house cleaning to complex home
improvement and repairs. Care receivers are visited by the youth during the
projects, and are invited to share in our turkey dinner on Sunday evening.
This year Project Shalom took place on October 15th and 16th.
